The obvious question one asks when infected with Smitfraud C is how to remove Smitfraud C from your spyware ridden computer.  If you have 39 bucks then the simple answer is Spyware Doctor with Antivirus.  I know you already used FREE software to try and remove this and it did not work or you thought it did and a few weeks later it came back.

The truth is you don’t have to purchase protection to rmeove this threat but at the same time you do.  Smitfraudfix.exe can and does remove Smitfraud most of the time.  The problem is it will not remove the other 100 or so traces of spyware that come down with Smitfraud like Zlob and Virtumonde.  I know way too many people that used this tool and thought they were spywarae free just to have it come back a week later.  Spyware Doctor with Antivirus is the only software I sell my clients out in the field.  This is how much I like it and how good it works.

Back to Smitfraudfix.exe:  I am not saying don’t use this program.  You should.  It realy is good stuff and will help to remove this trace.  But you still need Spyware Doctor with anti-virus to fully remove all other spyware and maybe even more important to protect your computer so you do not get infected again.

CLICK HERE to dowload Smitfraudfix.exe and download Spyware Doctor with Antivirus.  Make the purchase and then install it.  It’s straight forward.  You may be asked to re-boot aftr you update the program. If it starts scanning I would just stop the scan.  Run Smitfraudfix first.  Just double click the Icon and then hit the number 2 key to run the cleaner.  It only takes a few mintutes.  After that you will be asked if you want to clean the temp files.  Personally I would just cancel that box out asit does not really matter.  Then you will be askedif you want to clean the registry.  Select Y for yesand a few seconds later you are done.  That is all there is to that program.

Now run a full scan using Spyware Doctor with Antivirus.  The scan should take an hour or so and it will find traces of all kinds of bad stuff.  Hit the remove button and you are good to go and spyware / virus free.  If for any reason you have trouble running the scan you should run it in safe mode.

That is how to remove Smitfraud C from your computer. Not too hard at all.  If you are not tech savvy and the steps above did not make sense to you then we have another verey simple option that you already thought of!!  Hire a pro to remove Smitfraud for you.  This is not as expensive as you may think.  check out this Computer Repair site.  We love these guys and you will to.  They will 100% remove all threats on your computer or you don’t pay a cent.

It is very easy to use.  Download the above file and save it to your desktop our any known location.  Then double click the tool.  Now chooce option 2. to clean the computer.  It will take a few minutes to o it’s thing.  When asked is you wnat to clean the registry hit the Y key for yes.  Then you will have to re-boot.

This is all it takes to remove Smitfraud C and Smitfraud.  However I bet even after using this tool you are still infected with a virus and spyware.  You should download”Spyware doctor with anti-virus“.  Now install the program and run a full scan.  No this product is not free but it will let you run a free scan just so you know whether you are still infected or not.  This is the only software suit we use when out in the field to remove Smitfraud-C  and Virtumonde.

You do have another option that you most likely already thought of but did not do.  Hire out a pro!!!  I already know you think you can’t because of the cost.  Nothing can be further from the truth.  Head over to www.onlinecomputerrepair.org.  These guys can 100% remove Smitfraud-C and all other threats for only 89 bucks.  If they can’t fully remove all threats or do not solve your issue then you do not pay a single cent.  This is the only computer repair site we send people over to.

One of the most frustrating things about Smitfraud-C is not Smitfraud but what comes down with it.  You see while you may be infected with Smitfraud-C you also have several other spyware programs installed as well. The very common ones that come down with this are Virtumonde and Zlob as well as a fke security product like Win Anitbirus XP 2008.

Smitfraud C has once again mutated.  We came across a newer stain of Smitfraud C today on a clients computer.  Once again Spyware Doctor with Antivirus was able to fully remove this threat along with a fake toolbar and a fake antivirus clients called win xp antivirus 2008. download the free trial over at http://www.pctools.com/consumer/products/.  Yes you do have to purchase it to remove anything but you can at least do a test drive and see for your self what this guy can pick up.  It is important not to just downlaod Spyware Doctor but Spyware Doctor with Antivirus to fully remove not only Smitfraud but any other viruses you may have on your computer.

this strain of Smitfraud C appears to highjack the users desktop and the image is replaced by one that reads infected.  Alomst everywere on the desktop that you click you go to a fake securty prodcut website that trys to scare you into buying this fake product.

This particular computer was also infected with virtumonde and zlob.  This is not uncommon at all.  While the Zlob trojan was easy to remove Virtumonde can give you a big run for your money.  Almost every anti-spyware client fales to remove this threat.  Once of the few that do is yes once again Spyware Doctor with Anti-virus.
